Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the RelGen website and any material published on it. By using the site, you agree to follow these conditions and all applicable South African laws.

Using this site without causing trouble

Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd manages this website for RelGen. It offers general information on generator servicing, maintenance contracts and related support from Midrand, Gauteng to businesses across South Africa.

You may browse the site for lawful business use only. You must not copy, scrape, alter, distribute or republish site content without written permission, and you may not use the site in a way that interferes with its security or proper operation.

  • Use the site only for lawful enquiries and legitimate business purposes.
  • Do not introduce malware, bots or any other harmful code.
  • Do not try to gain unauthorised access to restricted systems or data.

Service information and technical limits

Information on this site is provided to describe routine servicing and support for standby and prime generators, including oil and filter changes, coolant checks, battery testing, load bank testing, changeover switch checks, fault finding and scheduled maintenance. It is general in nature and may change without notice as site conditions, equipment condition and operating requirements vary.

Electrical work, changeover switch work and any live system intervention must only be carried out by qualified people in line with local regulations and safe work practices. Fuel system and power system work are discussed here only in the context of generator servicing, not as advice for unqualified persons to carry out themselves.

  • No site information forms a guarantee that equipment will operate without interruption.
  • Service intervals, inspection points and repair methods depend on the unit, duty cycle and installation.
  • Final decisions on repair or maintenance should follow an on-site assessment by competent personnel.

Enquiries, records and contact handling

When you send an enquiry through the contact page form, you authorise RelGen and its service team to use the details you provide to respond, arrange follow-up and manage service administration. That may include allocating work to the relevant team member, such as operations, service contracts, field coordination, technical support or logistics.

We may keep enquiry records, service notes and related correspondence for operational, administrative and legal purposes. Please provide accurate information, including the site location, generator type if known, and the nature of the fault or service request, so the response can be handled properly.

  • Use the enquiry form only for genuine business requests.
  • Do not submit false, incomplete or misleading details.
  • Do not send confidential information unless it is necessary for the work requested.

Liability, downtime and outside factors

RelGen takes reasonable care in providing website content, but we do not accept responsibility for losses arising from delays, outages, site access restrictions, weather, municipal interruptions, load-shedding, fuel supply issues or any other event outside our control. Generator performance can also be affected by maintenance history, installation quality, ambient conditions and the age of the equipment.

To the extent allowed by South African law, RelGen and Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, business interruption or damage caused by misuse of the site or reliance on incomplete information. Nothing in these terms removes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Intellectual property and site content

All text, layout, images, graphics and other material on this site are protected by copyright and other applicable rights, unless stated otherwise. You may view the content for your own business use, but you may not reproduce or adapt it for commercial use without written approval.

Any trademarks, names or references appearing on the site remain the property of their respective owners. The presence of technical descriptions, service names or location references does not grant any licence or ownership rights to you.

Law, changes and contact route

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. We may update these terms from time to time and the revised wording will apply once published on the website.

If you have a question about these terms or the use of the site, use the enquiry form on the contact page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

  • Review the terms before using the site for a new enquiry or service request.
  • Make sure the person submitting the enquiry is authorised to do so for the business.
  • Keep your own records of any instructions or approvals you send through the form.
