Send the details that help us respond properly
The enquiry form on this page is the fastest way to contact our team. Please add your site location, the set type if known, the fault you are seeing, and whether you need a once-off callout or a service contract. If the set is still running, note any alarms, smoke, leaks or unusual noise so we can assign the right technician and parts.
- Site name and suburb or industrial area
- Standby or prime generator
- Nature of the fault, service or inspection needed
- Best time to attend and site access details
Where RelGen handles callouts and contract work
Our base is in Midrand, Gauteng and we support clients across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion and Sandton, with regular work in Durban, Cape Town and Polokwane. For nearby sites in Gauteng we can usually arrange faster attendance, while out-of-town service visits are planned around route, load and parts availability. For urgent breakdowns, response times depend on the area and the time of day, but we always try to keep downtime as short as possible.

- Johannesburg and Pretoria metro areas

- Industrial sites, warehouses, offices and plant rooms
What our maintenance teams check on site
Our servicing covers the practical items that keep a generator reliable in South African conditions, including oil and filter changes, coolant system checks, battery testing, load bank testing and changeover switch checks. We also inspect fuel system leaks, starter issues and signs of wear that can lead to a fail-to-start. Electrical work is handled by qualified people under local regulations, because safe isolation and correct testing matter on every site.
When the plant room needs urgent attention
If your generator has tripped, struggles to start, or shows repeated faults, send the details on the form and note whether there is an operating risk to the building or process line. We handle emergency callouts for breakdowns, fuel system repairs, starter system repairs and fault finding. In coastal areas we also see corrosion from damp air, while inland sites may have dust buildup and heat related wear, so we check the full picture not only the symptom.
The people behind the service counter
RelGen is led by Thabo Engelbrecht, with Naledi Shezi overseeing operations and Johan Matlala managing service contracts. Ayanda Khoza coordinates field service, Muneerah Daniels handles technical support, Sibusiso Wessels leads generator work on site and Rikus Botha manages stores and logistics. That structure helps us keep parts moving and job notes in order, even when a site needs attention quickly.
What happens after you submit the form
Once your enquiry comes through, we review the site details and match the request to the right team. If we need more information, we will ask for it before confirming the visit. For planned maintenance, we can set up service intervals, record audits and preventive inspections that suit your operation and reduce unplanned stoppages.
- We review the fault or service request
- We confirm the best technician and timing
- We prepare for parts, testing and access needs
- We schedule the visit or maintenance plan from there
